Estate Planning
Estate planning typically attempts to eliminate uncertainties over the administration of a probate and maximize the value of the estate by reducing taxes and other expenses. Guardians are often designated for minor children and beneficiaries in incapacity.

Estate Planning
Do you know how you want your estate to be distributed when you are no longer with us?
Many people do, but are you certain that your estate is setup such that your wishes will be clearly understood and followed when you are no longer with us?
One of the most common mistakes that we see when reviewing retirees financial situations is the disconnect between the retiree's estate planning wishes and the actual implementation of that plan. Simple things like forgetting to retitle assets to the trust can mean that your estate could still be required to go through probate (even though you created the correct legal documents)
In our view, a poorly implemented strategy is almost as bad as not having an estate plan at all!
One of the first things that we do for our clients is a thorough review of their estate planning goals so that we can validate those goals against the implementation of their existing plan. When we see holes, we fix them (most often without ever having to go back to see the attorney!)
Occasionally, we meet with someone that hasn't done any estate planning at all! For these people, we can often help them get everything they need including a trust (as determined by a qualified attorney), wills, powers of attorney and advanced health care directives for under $1000.00 (this often costs in excess of $2500.00 when obtained directly from an estate planning attorney!)
How are we able to do this? Through our partnership with Attorneys Trust Service (and their network of qualified estate planning attorneys), we are able to keep the total cost down to, typically, under one thousand dollars because we do most of the legwork that is often done by the attorney so that the attorney can focus on what they do best... Making the determination as to what exactly you need and creating the important legal documents to help you accomplish those goals.
